THE CLASSIFICATION OF WORDS


     Words are divided into eight classes or Part of Speech according to their various functions, meaning, and uses in sentence structure. The word speech must not be taken to refer to oral expression only. It is used, rather, in the broader sense of language or discourse. It is used to denote any and every form of language has brought with it ___ oral and written.
Each of these Parts of Speech has a definite use :

1.     NOUN. A Noun is a word used as the name of anything; as, pencil, London, Robert, beauty.
2.    PRONOUN. A Pronoun is a word used for or instead of a Noun; it shows the person or thing without actually giving the name of the person or thing; as, he, she, it, this.
3.    ADJECTIVE. An Adjectivedesceibes or limits the meaning of a Noun or Pronoun; as, black cat, good boy, beautiful house, poor me.
4.  VERB. A Verb is a word which asserts something about a person or thing; as, Milonwrites. Dogs bark. Rahim is good. The cat is loved by the girl. The Verb is the most important word in a Sentence.

Ø  Kids of Nouns
There are four kind of nouns
1.     Common nouns
2.    Proper nouns
3.    Abstrak nouns
4.    Collective nouns
